We support olive growers, millers, and bottlers in controlling the oils they produce or purchase by conducting various types of analyses to determine chemical, physical, and sensory characteristics. For many years, we have been committed to ensuring the quality of the olive-oil and wine-making supply chains, aiming to improve production quality. Method, experience, and planning allow Analytical to meet the needs of agricultural producers and food industries in terms of product enhancement and addressing the ever-growing need for consumer safety, protection, and assurance.

Oil

We provide our know-how for collaborations with public and private research entities with the aim of continuously improving the quality of food products, particularly extra virgin olive oil. In our Laboratory, the Professional Tasting Committee of the Italian Association of Olive Oil Millers operates, recognized by the Ministry of Agricultural Policies, for the organoleptic evaluation of the product. The tasting panels can certify the quality of the oil, indicating its strengths and weaknesses, and assign the exact commercial classification (extra virgin – virgin – lampante).

Wine

For over twenty years, we have been conducting analyses for the wine sector according to accredited methods published by the International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV) and the Ministerial Decree of March 12, 1986, and we are a reference laboratory for many certification bodies. We provide a comprehensive quality analysis service for wine, ensuring that each bottle reflects the excellence of its region. From the harvest to the creation of the nutritional label, we carefully follow each phase of the process to guarantee the highest quality and complete satisfaction for our clients. Our analyses include the parameters required by the main regulations, among others:

  • Alcoholic Strength by Volume: necessary for labeling.
  • Total Acidity: essential for evaluating freshness and balance.
  • Volatile Acidity: to determine the preservation of wines.
  • Sulfur Dioxide: to aid in preservation and verify compliance with regulations.
  • Sugars (glucose and fructose) and Total Sugars: to monitor the proper fermentation process and the classification of wines, including sparkling and semi-sparkling wines.

Beverages

We perform accurate analyses on various types of beverages. From water to non-alcoholic drinks such as fruit juices, to alcoholic beverages like liquors. We ensure they are safe, contamination-free, and meet the standards of the target markets.

Water for Human Consumption

The Legislative Decree of February 23, 2023, No. 18, introduced significant changes to the Italian legislation on drinking water, repealing the previous D.Lgs. 31/2001. The legislation implements Directive (EU) 2020/2184 and aims to protect human health from the dangers arising from the contamination of water intended for consumption. It includes aspects such as risk assessment and management for drinking water, establishes quality requirements for water, and introduces measures to ensure the safety and accessibility of drinking water. The decree applies to all water intended for human consumption, excluding specific categories such as recognized natural mineral waters and medicinal waters. 01
