Design and technology in the world of lighting play a central role, not only for their aesthetic function but also for their ability to influence comfort and productivity. However, companies must be able to guarantee the complete safety of the environments in which we live and work, which is why verification and analysis of these devices are fundamental.

First and foremost, lighting products must comply with the safety regulations of the country in which they are marketed. Compliance with regulations is demonstrated through laboratory tests that verify that the devices do not pose risks such as overheating, fire hazards, electric shock, or other potential threats to users. Energy efficiency is also a key factor in European and international legislation today.

All our tests are performed in compliance with applicable standards from the EN / IEC 60598 series for safety aspects, EN 55015 / CISPR 15, EN / IEC 61000-3-2, EN / IEC 61000-3-3, and EN / IEC 61547 for electromagnetic compatibility aspects, and the EN / IEC 62321 series for RoHS tests. The application of harmonized standards simplifies the conformity assessment process with Community Directives for CE Marking, as compliance with these standards provides a presumption of conformity with the Directive requirements. Analytical supports lighting equipment manufacturers by directly managing accredited Test Reports, CB Test Reports/CB Certificates, and obtaining quality marks such as ENEC 05 and DEKRA.

Depending on the countries of commercialization, the laboratory provides support in selecting the appropriate standards and, thanks to a network of international partnerships, can provide assistance in obtaining the necessary marks for export. Among various export activities, we highlight our accreditation, being one of the few laboratories in Italy, for the ANSI C136.31:2018 standard “Roadway and Area Lighting Equipment – Luminaire Vibration,” which concerns vibration tests for street lighting fixtures, required with an accredited Test Report by various international specifications in countries such as the United States, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Australia, and New Zealand.
