Analytical participates in research and development calls for proposals.

Innovation, international growth and sustainability: three strategic projects shaping Analytical’s future

In 2023–2024, Analytical has entered a new phase of development thanks to the funding of three strategic projects co-financed by the European Union and the Tuscany Region under the PR FESR 2021–2027 programme. The initiatives focus on digital transformation, international expansion, and advanced research in the field of environmental sensors.

Digitalization Call – Project “IOT4LAB”
CUPST: 14630.30062023.037032278_595

The project aims to fully digitize and automate the company’s analysis and reporting processes through the adoption of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and cloud technologies. Field data will be automatically collected, processed in the cloud, and used to generate digital reports, eliminating manual operations, reducing errors, and increasing overall efficiency. This strategic intervention will strengthen the company’s competitiveness in the fashion and food sectors.

R&D Call – Project “WiH2Sens”
CUPST: 27717.29122023.043001490

WiH2Sens is a research and development project focused on creating a new generation of passive, low-cost environmental sensors for remote monitoring of hazardous gases, with particular attention to hydrogen sulfide (H₂S), a toxic and dangerous compound in industrial contexts. The project will develop three types of H₂S sensors, including an RFID-based wireless sensor powered via radio frequency energy transfer (WPT), offering a battery-free, lightweight, and miniaturized solution that can be easily integrated into workwear. A full-chipless sensor will also be developed using innovative materials such as carbon nanotubes, acetate, and copper oxide. All devices will be tested in real operating conditions to validate their performance. The project builds on the experience gained with Futuralab and aims to strengthen the technological positioning of the partnership while opening up new opportunities in the advanced environmental sensor market.
