The Analytical team took part in the <\/span>Selection of the 2025 Tuscan Oli EVO DOP and IGP<\/span><\/b>, held on <\/span>Wednesday, April 16<\/span><\/b>, at <\/span>Cinema La Compagnia in Florence<\/span><\/b>. The initiative, promoted by the <\/span>Tuscany Region<\/span><\/b> in collaboration with the <\/span>Chamber of Commerce of Florence<\/span><\/b>, <\/span>PromoFirenze<\/span><\/b>, and <\/span>Fondazione Sistema Toscana<\/span><\/b>, is a key occasion to celebrate and enhance the entire Tuscan olive oil supply chain.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The event unfolded over three key sessions. It opened with a theatrical reading themed on olive oil, performed by well-known Tuscan actors including <\/span>Sergio Forconi<\/span><\/b>, <\/span>Barbara Enrichi<\/span><\/b>, and <\/span>Bruno Santini<\/span><\/b>. This was followed by institutional greetings from <\/span>President Eugenio Giani<\/span><\/b>, <\/span>Vice President and Regional Minister for Agriculture Stefania Saccardi<\/span><\/b>, and representatives of the partner organizations.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The core of the event was a <\/span>talk show<\/span><\/b> moderated by chef <\/span>Gian Piero Fava<\/span><\/b>, featuring leading voices from the food, wine, and cultural sectors. Among the speakers was <\/span>Laura Mazzanti<\/span><\/b>, Laboratory Manager at Analytical, representing our team. The discussion focused on the value of Tuscan olive oil in gastronomy, tourism, and territorial promotion.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The morning concluded with the <\/span>official awards ceremony<\/span><\/b> for the selected producers, with accolades presented to the best oils in the PDO and PGI categories. Special mentions were also awarded for <\/span>Best Organic Oil<\/span><\/b>, <\/span>Best Monocultivar<\/span><\/b>, and <\/span>Best Packaging<\/span><\/b>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Analytical\u2019s contribution to the selection<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The Selection is not merely a celebratory event, but the outcome of a <\/span>rigorous technical process<\/span><\/b> of qualitative evaluation\u2014one in which <\/span>Analytical played an active and central role<\/span><\/b>. As an independent laboratory, we contributed to the <\/span>chemical, physical, and sensory testing<\/span><\/b> of the submitted oils, based on the parameters defined by official specifications.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Our laboratory\u2019s contribution is illustrated in the <\/span>official video produced by the Tuscany Region<\/span><\/b>, which documents key phases of the analytical workflow: from <\/span>sample intake and preparation<\/span><\/b> to the <\/span>instrumental testing<\/span><\/b> used to determine quality and compliance.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>
