Starting from July 1, 2023, new compliance laws for footwear intended for the Indian market will come into effect. This will significantly impact the trade and export of such goods to India. Companies manufacturing footwear will need to certify their products and production processes through BIS Certification, issued by the Bureau of Indian Standards, and affix the ISI mark on the finished product.
